Yoda - for example - is great in teaching inverted poetry - or any inverted sentence structure. The kids enjoy listening to Yoda speak and then learning about poetry inversion and trying to find it in poems. I also use references to Star Wars when we talk about Plot summaries, and themes considering Star Wars is a tried and true theme product. We use the music to discuss tone, and how tone sets mood. Then we discuss how tone occurs in a book when there is no music.
