How I Use Star Wars in the Classroom

Almost every lesson I use an example of 'just like when... In Episode...' to help explain a point. I have children in my class who, like my are obsessive about Star Wars and I always get their attention. I am a primary / elementary school teacher so I teach almost all subjects and examples of Star Wars crossovers crop up a great deal! I have explicitly taught in history how empire and rebels can be seen as a parallel with Axis, allies in WW2.
