I am a special education teacher who teaches self-contained and co-taught social studies classes. I am a big Star Wars fan, and became quite a "legend" when I shared with my students that my cousin, John Morton, was Dak and Boba Fett. I met him while researching my family tree a few years ago. Genealogy and history are my passions, so matched with Star Wars, makes this adventure awesome! Many of my students, who are primarily male, love the who SciFi genre. As a child of the original movies, i can relate to the series. I teach Government and World history. I can integrate Star Wars, and the struggle for opposing forces, to show how governments throughout history have struggled for control, as well as various people groups working together.
