I use Star Wars clips to teach plot elements. For example, the opening crawl as exposition, the battle with Luke and Darth Vader as climax. I also use the music to teach mood/tone (The Imperial March and its importance in establishing mood for the character of Darth Vader) I have taught the traditional hero's arc seen throughout literature using Star Wars comparing it to classic greek tragedies and the rise of the heroic figure. And I use the characters to teach characterization (protagonist, antagonist, secondary/primary)
