How I Use Star Wars in the Classroom

I plan to use a Star Wars theme for fifth grade when school starts this fall. This will be the first time I have tried this and this is part of my quest to encourage a love of reading specifically targeting boys. I am thinking of letting them earn different ranks in the imperial navy based on how much they read, etc. as well as interest in the sci fi genre, my personal favorite. Any ideas/suggestions are greatly appreciated!
