How I Use Star Wars in the Classroom

G'day from Down Under, May The Fourth Be with you all! I am a Pre-service Teacher at Australian Catholic University in Brisbane and I am about to start my last teaching practicum in a Prep classroom (5 year olds). I will be teaching all subject areas to my class of 27 over the next six weeks and I am looking for ideas to incorporate Star Wars into my numeracy and literacy lesson plans. I have been a Star Wars fan since 1977 and where suitable I look forward to including Star Wars in my teaching to engage student learning whilst ensuring it correlates to the Australian Curriculum. Your Serve Like a Jedi service learning campaignis a great way for me to ensure my students are community minded and aware of social justice issues.
