I started working with kids when I was 14 at a Mothers of Preschoolers program through a church. Working with kids between 2 months old and 6 years old gave me a good view of what kids found interesting. As time went on I found I really enjoyed working with children so I started teaching LEGO Engineering at a private school with one of my brothers. After a year of that I decided being self-employed wasn't all that fun and signed up with Play-Well TEKnologies. I've worked there for nearly 4 years now and love teaching children engineering.
The company I work for, Play-Well TEKnologies, uses a Star Wars theme to teach the engineering found in the Star Wars universe to students in after-school programs. We explore different vehicles and structures to better understand the mechanical and architectural engineering that are in Star Wars. Each day I start off by introducing myself as Jedi Master LEGO Eamon and I declare them all Younglings in the Lego Jedi Order. As the class goes on over the next few weeks they earn ranks by demonstrating their skills with different engineering challenges.
